When you create an account on SnapJiff, we collect:
- Account information — your name and email address, provided through Google OAuth or email sign-up.
- Session data — anonymous session identifiers for users who join a Jiff without signing in.
- Usage data — interactions within Jiffs (such as responses and timestamps) to provide real-time functionality.
2. Authentication
SnapJiff uses Supabase as its authentication provider. You may sign in with Google OAuth or an email/password combination. We do not store your Google password — authentication is handled entirely by Google and Supabase.
3. Cookies & Local Storage
We use cookies and browser local storage for:
- Authentication tokens — to keep you signed in across sessions.
- Theme preference — to remember your light/dark mode choice.
We do not use tracking cookies or third-party analytics cookies.
4. How We Use Your Data
Your data is used solely to:
- Provide and operate the SnapJiff service.
- Identify you within Jiffs you host or join.
- Display results and history on your dashboard.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Data may be shared only with infrastructure providers (Supabase, Vercel) as necessary to operate the service.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon request, we will permanently remove your data within 30 days.
7. Security
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication flows, and access controls on our infrastructure.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of SnapJiff after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
